The Communications Captain shall
have responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Oversee all Communication services, including operations, I.T., and
equipment.
- Serves as a liaison to other communications agencies.
- Read and critique all dispatcher self-evaluations and DIT evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an effective quality assurance/improvement
program for continuous system and patient care improvement.
- Will report to the Chief.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Communications Captain shall meet the following qualifications:
- Must be a certified EMT-B (TDH) and/or a certified EMD (NAED.)
- Must have held the position of dispatcher for one fall or spring semester.
- Must be a current student at TAMU.
- Must be in good standing with the TAMU and TAMU EMS.
