The position will have the following
duties:
- Will coordinate the development, implementation, and revision of the
field training program preparing employees for the positions of in-charge
and attendant.
- Will design and implement written procedures for training,
testing, and designation of EMS employees for the in-charge and attendant
levels.
- Shall be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining
a TDH approved in-house continuing education program.
- Will provide monthly
continuing education opportunities as necessary to meet the needs of
the service.
- Will maintain EMS employees credential files, including,
but not limited to, state and national certifications and licenses;
PALS, ACLS, BTLS, PHTLS,
HIPAA, CPR, and AED.
- Will provide CPR training for members of TAMU EMS
and TAMU community as needed.
The position shall have the following qualifications:
- Must be certified as an EMT-Basic or higher by the Texas Department
of Health for at least one long semester.
- Must be a certified CPR instructor,
certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Must
be a currently enrolled student at TAMU.
- Must be in good standing with
the University and TAMU EMS.
