Hands Only CPR

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Hands-Only CPR is a skill that anyone can do, without any special knowledge or certification.  Through your quick action, you can greatly increase the survivability of cardiac arrest.  If you see someone collapse and become unconscious, just follow these two simple steps:

  1. Call 9-1-1.
  2. Push hard and fast in the center of the chest.

Remember, do not hang up on 911, they will need to get more information about the incident and where you are.  The dispatcher may also provide further instructions, such as how to use an AED.  If possible, have someone stay on the phone while another does CPR.
